Challenge
This homeowner wants to use their attic for additional storage and also insulate to improve energy efficiency and regulate temperatures throughout the home.
Solution
We removed the wood shavings that are inadequate insulation in the attic and added blown in cellulose R60 before installing wood decking. We also air sealed around masonry chimney to reduce energy loss and improve home comfort. Our team installed a new pull down stair to access the attic area, giving the homeowner an easy way to use the attic for storage.
